On this page, you can see whether the students found on your school-level site have been matched to students on your district-level site.
Matching is important if some students are on both sites. When students who are already on both sites are matched correctly, those records will be merged automatically when the sites are merged, and you won't need to manually merge each individual student's records.
Viewing the Status for Each Student
For each student, check the Status column:
- Matched means the school-level student has been matched to a student who already exists on the district-level site. The software will merge the school-level and district-level accounts for the student.
- New Student means that the student is on your school-level site, but has not been found on your district-level site. Therefore, the student's account will be copied to the district-level site, where it will be a "New Student" - a student who has not been on that site before.
Regardless of whether students are matched and merged or copied/imported as new students, students' Star Reading, Star Math, and Star Early Literacy assessments (English and Spanish), Star CBM assessments, Accelerated Reader quiz records, and mastery information will be brought into the merged site. Star scores will include benchmark categories.
To search for a specific student, enter the student's name; then, select Search. To clear a search, select in the search field.
To narrow the list to a specific school, grade, or status, use the drop-down lists. (You can select the "Show All" options again to see the full list.)
In the list of students, you can select Edit to change a student's status. This lets you look for a match for unmatched students (New Student) or to check and possibly clear a match for Matched students. For more information, see Site Merge - Review Student Data. Matching students correctly saves you work later by preventing accidental matches and preventing the need to manually merge unmatched records.
When You're Done
When you have finished reviewing the matches for your school-level site students, select the < Back link at the top of the page to go back.
Personnel (teachers, staff, and administrators) that were only on the school-level site must be recreated on the district-level site. If you use the CDI service, work with your Renaissance representative to get personnel on your district-level site. If not, you can import personnel information or add school personnel and district personnel manually.
